About the role

Role Overview

Senior Full-Stack PHP Software Engineer for a remote (U.S.) team building and maintaining a SaaS platform that supports property-management workflows. You’ll work closely with product managers, domain experts, and engineers to translate requirements into reliable features using Laravel and a modern web stack.

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code across back-end and front-end.
  • Diagnose, refactor, and improve existing systems to fix bugs, adapt to new processes, and boost performance.
  • Gather user needs and assess technical feasibility within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Implement new features and improvements while keeping defect rates low.
  • Collaborate on effort estimates aligned to stakeholder goals.
  • Support QA and troubleshooting for production issues.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed to meet team objectives.

Requirements

  • Deep full-stack web experience, including:
    • Laravel (PHP)
    • MySQL (or comparable relational database)
    • Redis (or similar caching)
    • MongoDB (or other NoSQL store)
    • JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Self-motivated, value-focused delivery for users and teammates.
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting (e.g., DigitalOcean, AWS, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with Git-based version control (GitHub/GitLab/etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Highly organized; can manage multiple projects.
  • Creative problem-solving and comfort handling complex challenges.
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience).

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Python, C#, OCR tools, or machine learning/AI.
