Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Role Overview

Join thatgamecompany as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build and evolve applications that support the operation functions of Sky: Children of the Light. You’ll work closely with the Lead Software Engineer and collaborate across teams to identify problems, design solutions, and deliver scalable features.

Key Missions

• Develop applications to support game operations using modern technologies.
• Identify problems and solve them autonomously from A to Z.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to design and document features with scalability in mind.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional programming experience.
• Strong experience with modern front-end JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Next, Hooks).
• Experience writing TypeScript packages.
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS and Google Cloud.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Experience designing data structures and working with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB).
• Experience building modern REST APIs in Node.js.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proactive and adaptable.
• Initiative to improve solutions, systems, and processes.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python and Go.
• Experience with Google Cloud Project, Datadog, Prometheus, Serverless, CI/CD, GitLab, Kubernetes, Terraform.
• Experience developing with Sky: Children of the Light and its community.
• Ability to share a personal portfolio.
