Role Overview

Senior Full Stack Engineer (Senior II)

• Deliver high-quality, customer-facing product work end-to-end
• Own outcomes for large and complex technical efforts, guiding a small team
• Contribute to product and engineering growth while leveraging AI agents/coding approaches without sacrificing quality

Responsibilities

• Build and ship customer-facing product experiences
• Deliver polished features across frontend and backend
• Ensure changes are reliable, accessible, and performant
• Own work end-to-end: discovery → technical design → implementation → testing → release → iteration
• Leverage AI to improve productivity and execution while maintaining quality outcomes
• Raise engineering quality by improving patterns, reducing tech debt, strengthening testing, and refactoring
• Collaborate and communicate effectively in a remote, async team
• Mentor and support engineers through pairing, reviews, and feedback

Requirements (Must Have)

• 5+ years of professional development experience
• Strong experience building production web applications (preferably React and TypeScript)
• Solid modern frontend fundamentals (e.g., state management, performance, testing)
• Experience with APIs (preferably GraphQL)
• Experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
• Experience defining and operating production infrastructure
• Experience using AI coding tools

• Anywhere in New Zealand
• 37.5 hours per week
