Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Contract)

Role Overview

Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Contract) working full-remote (London, UK). You will independently build and improve features across platforms, refactor applications, write tests, and contribute across the full software lifecycle.

Key Missions

• Build new features and improve existing platform functionality.
• Participate in every phase of the software lifecycle, from ideation to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend and frontend capabilities across the stack.
• Refactor, enhance, and optimize existing applications, including legacy systems.
• Identify inefficiencies and streamline workflows.
• Write and maintain tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and support TDD.
• Deploy, manage, and scale applications in cloud environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• 12+ years of web application development experience.
• Deep understanding of scalable web architectures (monolithic, microservices, or hybrid).
• Strong PHP expertise, including debugging and algorithm/software design.
• 10+ years of PHP development, with expertise in at least one framework (Symfony or Zend preferred).
• Strong web security fundamentals (encryption, authentication, authorization).
• 6+ years with frontend frameworks/libraries such as Vue.js, React, Nuxt, or Next.js.
• Passion for automated testing and test-driven development (TDD).
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of agile development tools, techniques, and principles.
• Experience deploying, managing, and scaling in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
