Senior Full Stack Engineer

Role overview

BAXUS is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build and maintain a sophisticated NFT exchange for real-world assets. You’ll design full-stack web applications, integrate blockchain capabilities (Solana), orchestrate complex workflows, and deliver real-time analytics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable full-stack applications using NestJS/TypeScript (backend) and React/Next.js (frontend), with a focus on performance, security, and UX.
• Implement Solana blockchain integrations for NFT minting, transfers, and wallet connectivity, including secure digital-asset handling.
• Develop and optimize data systems using MySQL and Prisma ORM (relationships, migrations, and performance tuning).
• Orchestrate business workflows using Temporal.io (e.g., asset authentication, trading, payment processing).
• Build integrations with external services such as payment processors (crypto and traditional), authentication providers, and third-party APIs.
• Create responsive, pixel-perfect mobile and web interfaces with smooth trading user experiences.
• Collaborate with Product, Business Development, and Design to translate requirements into technical solutions and ship rapidly.
• Maintain high code quality via testing, code reviews, and clean architecture practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and modern web frameworks.
• Strong backend experience with NestJS (or similar enterprise Node.js frameworks).
• Solana or equivalent Web3/NFT development experience (NFT standards and marketplace mechanics).
• Advanced frontend expertise with React/Next.js (hooks, state management, component architecture).
• Strong database design/optimization with MySQL and ORM (Prisma preferred).
• Security-first mindset for financial transactions, user assets, and blockchain interactions.
• Experience with Temporal (or similar workflow engines).
• Independent, self-starting ability to work across time zones in a fast-paced startup.
• Located in (or willing to relocate to) New York City or New Jersey.

Nice to have

• React Native experience.
• Experience building trading platforms or other financial, real-time, high-scale systems.
• Advanced blockchain experience (multi-chain, DeFi, or Layer 2).
• DevOps/infrastructure experience: Docker, GCP, CI/CD, monitoring.
• Domain expertise in luxury goods, collectibles, or NFT marketplaces.
