Senior Full Stack Developer (React, Node.js, JS & CSS)

Role Overview

Senior Full Stack Developer for a fast-paced, hands-on role at Instrumental Group, an international digital agency. You’ll build modern web applications, custom HubSpot solutions, and scalable backend systems while collaborating closely with designers, strategists, and other developers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain applications using React and Node.js
• Develop HubSpot CRM UI Extensions and interactive front-end components
• Create serverless functions and custom-coded workflow actions using Node.js
• Develop and maintain HubSpot CMS themes, templates, and modules (training provided)
• Ensure web experiences are high-quality, performant, and accessible
• Use project management and collaboration tools: ClickUp, Jira, Asana, or Teamwork, Slack, and GitHub
• Collaborate with designers/strategists to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Stay current with modern web technologies and best practices

Required Skills

• 5+ years professional full-stack JavaScript development experience
• Strong proficiency in React.js and state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Context API)
• Solid experience with Node.js (e.g., Express, serverless functions, API development)
• Strong understanding of modern CSS (e.g., SCSS, Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, Grid/Flex)
• Experience integrating with APIs and performing data fetching (e.g., Axios)
• Strong Git workflow experience (branches, pull requests, code reviews)

Nice to Have

• Prior HubSpot CMS/CRM experience (not required; training available)

AI Approach

• Comfortable using AI as part of everyday tooling to improve thinking, speed, and output quality—not to replace design craft.
