Senior Full Stack Developer (React, Node.js, JS & CSS)

Role Overview

Instrumental is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to build modern web applications and custom HubSpot solutions. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role working with designers, strategists, and other developers to deliver high-quality digital experiences.

• Location: Remote or Hybrid (based on team needs)

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain applications using React and Node.js
• Develop HubSpot CRM UI Extensions and interactive front-end components
• Create serverless functions and custom-coded workflow actions with Node.js
• Develop and maintain HubSpot CMS themes, templates, and modules (training provided)
• Ensure web experiences are high-quality, performant, and accessible
• Work with project management and collaboration tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Asana, Teamwork, Slack, and GitHub
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Stay current with modern web technologies and best practices

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of professional full-stack JavaScript development
• Strong proficiency in React.js and state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API, etc.)
• Solid experience with Node.js (including Express and serverless functions)
• Strong understanding of modern CSS (e.g., SCSS, Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, Grid/Flex)
• Experience working with APIs and data fetching (e.g., Axios)
• Strong Git workflow experience (branches, pull requests, code reviews)
• Willingness to learn HubSpot CMS/CRM development

Bonus (Nice to Have)

• Prior experience with HubSpot
