About the role

Role overview

Senior Full Stack Developer (m/f/d) for the HeatOS team at Vamo. You will take full ownership of system architecture and implementation, working hands-on to shape a scalable and future-proof platform that supports Vamo’s growth and processes.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement new complex features for the website and internal business processes
- Backend architecture and development with Node.js
- Frontend implementation with Vue.js (including leading implementation using technical guidelines)
Design and standardize APIs
- Build robust, highly scalable, future-proof APIs as the central interface for the website, CRM, and partner system integrations
Own code quality and testing
- Define code conventions, run code reviews, and mentor developers
- Maintain high standards for maintainability and unit & integration test coverage
Help shape infrastructure and deployment
- Improve CI/CD pipeline and environments
- Work with Docker, Heroku, and MongoDB to enable reliable automated deployments
Collaborate across teams
- Work with Product Managers, Developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into feasible technical solutions
Drive technological vision and innovation
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies, architectures, and best practices

Requirements

Several years of full-stack development experience, ideally as a lead or the most experienced developer on a team
Deep knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript (backend using Nest.js)
Proficiency with Vue.js or another modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React/Angular)
Experience with NoSQL, especially MongoDB
Practical experience with Docker and deployment platforms like Heroku
Strong understanding of modern software architecture and API design best practices
Ability to connect technology decisions with business goals and user needs
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset; ability to ramp up quickly
Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Interest in clean code, technology, and climate tech products
Experience related to website/lead funnel/conversion optimization and collaboration with Sales/Marketing
Confident use of AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini)
Fluent English (spoken and written); German mentioned but truncated in the source

Nice to have

Experience with low- and no-code tools
