Senior Full Stack Developer (JS, AWS)

Role Overview

Capnexus is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer (AWS) to build a cloud-native, AI-powered modernization platform for the construction industry. The role is hands-on and will support a 12-week engagement developing an intelligent subcontractor pre-qualification solution.

What You’ll Do

• Design & build application architecture, UI/UX, and technical requirements during the Discovery & Design phase.
• Configure and integrate Amazon SES for automated email delivery and Amazon QuickSight for executive dashboards.
• Build and deploy a document upload portal for subcontractors to submit insurance certificates, bonding letters, and financial statements.
• Develop RESTful, serverless APIs using AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway.
• Create real-time status and risk profiling dashboards in QuickSight, integrating with CMIC ERP data.
• Implement AI-driven document validation and exception management workflows using Amazon Bedrock.
• Build automated subcontractor outreach (personalized email generation and response tracking) via Amazon SES.
• Develop and host frontend applications using AWS Amplify, Amazon S3, and Amazon CloudFront.
• Participate in CI/CD, automated testing, and deployments to production.
• Collaborate with AI/ML, DevOps, and Data Engineering stakeholders.
• Support integration testing, UAT, and create user training materials.
• Produce knowledge transfer documentation and post-deployment operations guides.

Requirements

• 5+ years full-stack development experience; 2+ years in AWS.
• Frontend framework experience: React, Angular, or Vue.
• Backend development: Python, Node.js, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on AWS serverless architecture experience: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Amplify.
• Experience building Amazon QuickSight dashboards and data visualizations.
• Familiarity with Amazon SES for transactional/automated email workflows.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, data modeling, and cloud-native integration patterns.
• CI/CD and DevOps experience (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild).
• Strong integration/testing/deployment automation skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in Agile/Scrum teams.

Nice to Have

• Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Textract, or other AWS AI/ML services.
• Familiarity with ERP integrations (e.g., CMIC or similar).
• AWS Certification (Developer Associate or Solutions Architect).
• CloudFront and S3 static hosting experience.
• Background in construction, insurance, or financial services.
