Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Frontend Software Engineer (United States) for a partner technology platform.

You will design, implement, and scale high-performance, accessible, and maintainable frontend applications. The role includes architectural leadership, cross-functional collaboration (backend, product, UX), and mentoring other engineers in a remote-friendly, high-autonomy environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of frontend architecture: establish patterns and standards for scalability and maintainability
• Architect and implement complex, high-performance UI with a focus on accessibility and responsiveness
• Partner with backend engineers to design APIs and integrate platform capabilities
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews and mentorship for junior/mid engineers
• Own testing strategy across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines, build processes, and deployment infrastructure for reliability and developer productivity
• Use AI-assisted development tools to streamline workflows, automate testing, and improve code quality

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of professional software development with strong expertise in React and modern SSR frameworks (e.g., Next.js or Remix)
• Expert knowledge of GraphQL (schema design, performance optimization, resolver patterns)
• Proven ability to deliver scalable, accessible, high-performance frontend solutions
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to influence technical decisions across teams and stakeholders
• Advanced frontend testing experience with: Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress
• Experience designing/optimizing build and deployment pipelines for reliability and developer productivity
• Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and guiding architectural decisions

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor)
