Role overview

Senior Frontend Software Engineer, Home Experience will build and improve high-traffic feed pages across the platform’s apps and website. The role focuses on delivering a smooth, intuitive, and engaging user experience for exploration and engagement at scale.

Responsibilities

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering to deliver new products and features
Participate in the full development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
Write and review code and design documentation
Provide feedback on product specifications and mockups
Lead planning, development, and implementation of significant projects in the web architecture
Promote metrics-driven execution with operational excellence and system observability
Partner with leadership to develop roadmaps aligned with product and engineering goals

Requirements

6+ years of front-end software development experience
Strong front-end skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6
Experience with one or more web frameworks (mentioned: LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, Angular) and CSS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience)
Strong organization and ability to manage priorities and schedules
UX/usability focus; understanding of social platforms is a plus
Self-directed, innovative, and effective in fast-paced ambiguous environments
Excellent communication skills for a fully remote setup

Nice to have

Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, or Thrift and API design
Experience with large-scale web application considerations and techniques
