About the role
Role Overview
The Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Home Experience) will help build and improve high-traffic feed pages across the platform’s apps and website. The goal is to deliver a smooth, intuitive, and engaging user experience that supports exploration and interaction.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering to deliver new features and products.
- Own work across the full development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
- Write and review code and design documentation.
- Provide input on product specifications and mockups.
- Lead planning and execution of significant projects within the web architecture.
- Promote a metrics-driven culture focused on operational excellence and system observability.
- Partner with leadership to develop roadmaps aligned with product and engineering goals.
Requirements
- 6+ years of front-end software development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular (also mentions Lit/LIT and Polymer) and strong CSS knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong user experience/usability orientation; social platform understanding is a plus.
- Self-directed and innovative, with a bias toward action in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Excellent communication skills for fully remote collaboration.
- Beneficial: experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, or Thrift and API design.
- Major plus: understanding of large-scale web application considerations and techniques.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $190,800–$267,100 USD.
- Eligible for equity (RSUs) and possibly commissions depending on the position.
