About the role

Role Overview

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer at Albert, you’ll build accessible, interactive, and responsive user interfaces that help people accelerate their learning. You’ll work with React and TypeScript, taking ownership from design through implementation, testing, and maintenance, while contributing to long-term architecture improvements.

Responsibilities

Write performant, testable, maintainable frontend code to support the product roadmap.
Own features and engineering initiatives end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
Perform thorough code reviews, catch subtle issues, and help teammates grow.
Lead frontend architecture and design discussions and help shape technical direction.
Collaborate with engineers and Product to define goals and milestones.
Help define and refine how the team uses AI tooling effectively (patterns and best practices).
Identify opportunities to improve existing code, architecture, and developer tooling.
Contribute to and uphold company culture and engineering values.
Optionally contribute full-stack (encouraged, but not required), with mentoring support.

Requirements

Strong frontend engineering fundamentals with React and TypeScript.
Experience building and maintaining production web interfaces.
Ability to take ownership of features and drive work through the full development lifecycle.
Demonstrated ability to lead architectural discussions and review code carefully.

Nice to Have

Experience with Tailwind for building responsive UI.
Experience integrating or using AI-assisted development tools in a team workflow (e.g., Copilot/Claude Code).
Interest in expanding toward full-stack contributions (mentored).
