Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer at Albert, you’ll build accessible, interactive, and responsive user interfaces that help people accelerate their learning. You’ll contribute across the full product development lifecycle—from ideation to production—as an equal thought partner.

Responsibilities

• Write performant, testable, and maintainable frontend code to support the product roadmap.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features and engineering initiatives (design → implementation → testing → maintenance).
• Conduct careful code reviews and help teammates grow.
• Lead architectural and design discussions to shape frontend technical direction.
• Collaborate with other engineers and the Product team to define goals and milestones.
• Help define and refine how the team uses AI tooling effectively (patterns and best practices for AI-assisted development).
• Identify opportunities to improve existing code, architecture, and developer tooling.
• Uphold Albert’s core values and contribute to company culture.

Requirements

• Strong frontend engineering skills with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building user interfaces with Tailwind.
• Ability to take ownership of features through the full development cycle.
• Thorough approach to code quality (including reviews, testing, and maintenance).
• Ability to lead design/architecture discussions and collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice to Have

• Experience or interest in contributing full-stack (mentoring and support available).
• Experience integrating or using AI tools in the development workflow (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
