Senior Frontend Platform Engineer, Contentful/Nuxt

Role overview

Senior Frontend Platform Engineer to own and evolve a Contentful-backed web platform supporting TaxWell-family marketing websites (e.g., Drake Software and 1040.com). You will build and govern shared frontend platform patterns so multiple branded sites can run safely on a shared foundation.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve production Nuxt 3 / Vue / TypeScript applications backed by Contentful.
• Design, maintain, and govern Contentful structures (content models, spaces/environments, roles & permissions, workflows, preview, webhooks, and release processes).
• Define platform standards for:
  • SEO, redirects, metadata
  • accessibility
  • analytics and consent tooling
  • content delivery reliability
  • authoring/SEO/governance patterns
• Maintain shared multi-site platform patterns (shared Nuxt layers, reusable packages, app configuration, routing, theming, and testing).
• Build and maintain integrations between Contentful and web applications using Contentful APIs:
  • GraphQL
  • Content Delivery API
  • Preview API
  • Content Management API
• Troubleshoot production issues across the web app, Contentful config, deployment pipeline, third-party scripts, and content delivery layers.
• Author/edit/validate/publish Contentful content when needed for complex, time-sensitive, or governance-sensitive updates.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, UX, SEO, Legal, DevOps, Security, and Engineering to translate business needs into safe, maintainable solutions.
• Improve content authoring workflows via documentation, automation/tooling, preview improvements, and operational guardrails.
• Participate in technical design reviews and mentor engineers on Contentful, Nuxt/Vue, content modeling, and platform best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production web applications or frontend platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Nuxt 3, Vue 3
  • TypeScript, JavaScript
  • Node.js and modern frontend build tooling
• Hands-on experience with Contentful, including content modeling, environments, workflows, and related governance/publishing concepts.

Nice to have (implied)

• Experience integrating frontend platforms with CMS governance (preview/release/webhooks).
• Ability to mentor and drive architecture/design reviews across shared multi-brand sites.
