Senior Frontend Engineer (React) - Remote

Role overview

Endurance is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer (React) to lead frontend development for modern user experiences across enterprise software systems. This is a fully remote role where you’ll own features end-to-end, mentor teammates, and help establish frontend standards for UI quality, performance, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex frontend features in React
• Build scalable, maintainable UI components and frontend architecture patterns
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact work
• Improve performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across web applications
• Drive code quality, testing, and frontend development standards
• Participate in and lead code reviews
• Mentor junior developers through pairing and coaching
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve observability and reliability

Requirements (must-haves)

• Strong experience building modern web applications with React (or another modern frontend technology)
• Ability to translate product requirements into clean, scalable UI
• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with remote teams
• Experience maintaining production-grade frontend codebases
• Ability to make technical decisions and guide others through implementation
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code)

Nice-to-haves

• TypeScript, Tailwind, Next.js
• Frontend testing experience (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
• Performance optimization and accessibility standards
• Experience designing component libraries / design systems
• Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., role-based permissions, complex workflows)
• Mentorship or team leadership experience

Compensation & eligibility

• Salary range: $140,000–$150,000 (annual)
• Background check required
• Must have existing authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship stated)
