Role Overview

Senior Frontend Engineer (React.js & Next.js) for a remote position supporting an Australian healthcare healthtech startup. You’ll build and maintain high-performance web applications in collaboration with product and backend teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable web applications using React.js and Next.js
Implement SSR, SSG, and ISR based on project needs
Build reusable UI components and integrate REST APIs
Manage state with Redux Toolkit and Context API
Handle forms with React Hook Form and Yup validation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in code reviews
Apply performance best practices to ensure fast, reliable user experiences

Requirements

Strong experience with React.js and Next.js
Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
Experience with SSR/SSG/ISR rendering strategies
State management using Redux Toolkit and Context API
Form handling using React Hook Form with Yup validation
REST API integration with Axios
UI development with Material-UI (MUI) v5 and Emotion (CSS-in-JS)
Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps workflows
Understanding of authentication flows: JWT, OAuth, Auth0
Knowledge of performance optimization techniques
