Senior Frontend Engineer (AI-first rebuild)

You’ll join an AI-first engineering rebuild for the MrBeast membership ecosystem—creating a modern frontend from scratch with no legacy constraints.

Role Overview

• Build customer-facing web experiences used by millions, with potential reach of 100M+ people.
• Partner closely with product and design in a fast-moving, AI-first environment.
• Own frontend performance and latency across core user journeys.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable frontend architectures for complex web applications.
• Build and maintain reusable UI components and integrate with design systems.
• Translate product requirements into clean, high-quality user experiences.
• Lead technical design discussions and own architectural decisions within your domain.
• Optimize for performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and usability.
• Set and enforce frontend standards/patterns and drive adoption across teams.
• Mentor engineers via code reviews and technical guidance; help resolve production issues.

Requirements

• AI-native: already uses AI coding agents daily and is comfortable with modern tooling.
• 8+ years software engineering experience with strong frontend depth.
• Proven ability to build and maintain scalable production web apps using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong performance mindset with ability to demonstrate wins using metrics.
• Takes ownership from design through production support and raises team standards.

Bonus / Nice to Have

• Experience building and maintaining design systems.
• Familiarity with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience with cloud-native environments and CI/CD.
• Track record leading technical initiatives across teams.

Location / Work Model

• Hybrid: expected ~2 days per week in-office in the Bay Area (San Francisco/Peninsula) or NYC.
