Senior Frontend Engineer

Role Overview

Join Kake as a Senior Frontend Engineer to help architect and deliver high-quality digital solutions. You’ll use deep React expertise to build a seamless, performant frontend experience, while partnering across the stack to support complex data models.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable frontend solutions using React and modern TypeScript frameworks.
• Deliver a seamless, performant user experience across the product.
• Design and manage data models, including:
  • Writing efficient SQL queries for relational data
  • Working with NoSQL databases as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code, and contribute to code reviews and Git workflows.
• Proactively identify and solve complex technical problems in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• Experience coding with React / NestJS / Zustand.
• Strong expertise in modern frontend TypeScript/JavaScript frameworks and libraries (including React.js).
• Solid understanding of Git and Git workflows.
• Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and SQL queries; familiarity with NoSQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
• US timezone overlap: 6–7 hours overlap with CST (GMT-5).

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with eCommerce systems and platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and deploying workloads to cloud infrastructure.
• Strong preference for clean, testable, robust code.
