Responsibilities

  • Lead frontend development in React, TypeScript, and Webpack, focusing on performance, maintainability, and scalability
  • Implement and evolve micro frontend architecture for modular, scalable delivery
  • Collaborate with Product Designer and Head of Product to translate UX designs into high-quality, performant code
  • Work with the design system to ensure components are reusable, accessible, and developer-friendly
  • Critique UX/UI designs, identify implementation constraints, and propose optimization opportunities
  • Partner with backend engineers to define, consume, and optimize APIs for efficient data communication
  • Decide when to use third-party libraries vs custom implementations to balance delivery speed and long-term maintainability
  • Own CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications (configuration, optimization, deployment)
  • Champion frontend performance best practices (bundle size reduction, runtime optimization)
  • Contribute to technical standards and architecture consistency across the frontend team
  • Participate in architecture and roadmap discussions to ensure long-term scalability and flexibility

Requirements

  • 5+ years building modern React applications at scale
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern frontend tooling, including Webpack
  • Production experience with micro frontend architecture
  • Built and scaled component-based design systems with design teams
  • Ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, performant implementations (and challenge designs for feasibility)
  • Strong UX instincts; ability to simplify complex workflows
  • Understanding of REST and GraphQL and how to integrate frontend code cleanly with backend services
  • Experience configuring and deploying applications via CI/CD
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  • Strong frontend performance optimization experience (e.g., bundle splitting, virtualization)
  • Enjoy cross-functional collaboration with designers, engineers, and product

Benefits

  • $125,000–$160,000 competitive salary
  • Equity ownership in a high-growth AI company
  • Health insurance, 401(k)
  • Fully remote within the United States
  • Direct collaboration with founders and product leadership
  • High ownership and meaningful architectural decision-making authority
