Senior, hands-on Frontend Engineer to build and own major parts of an AI-powered People Ops platform’s frontend architecture. You’ll drive design system implementation and deliver a world-class user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead frontend development using React, TypeScript, and Webpack, ensuring performance, maintainability, and scalability
  • Implement and evolve a micro frontend architecture for modular, scalable delivery
  • Collaborate with Product Designer and Head of Product to translate UX into high-quality, performant code
  • Work with the design system to deliver reusable, accessible components optimized for developer experience
  • Critique and iterate on UX/UI designs; identify constraints and optimization opportunities during implementation
  • Partner with backend engineers to define, consume, and optimize APIs for efficient data communication
  • Decide when to use third-party libraries vs custom implementations to balance delivery speed and long-term maintainability
  • Own CI/CD pipelines for frontend apps (configuration, optimization, deployment)
  • Champion frontend performance best practices (e.g., bundle size reduction, runtime optimization)
  • Contribute to frontend technical standards and architecture consistency
  • Participate in roadmap and architecture discussions to ensure scalability and long-term flexibility

Requirements

  • 5+ years building modern React applications at scale
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript and Webpack and modern frontend tooling
  • Production experience implementing micro frontends
  • Built and scaled component-based design systems with design teams
  • Ability to translate Figma into pixel-perfect, performant implementations (and challenge for feasibility when needed)
  • Strong UX sense; can simplify complex workflows
  • Understanding of REST and GraphQL and clean frontend integration with backend services
  • Experience configuring and deploying applications via CI/CD
  • Writes clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  • Strong frontend performance optimization skills (e.g., bundle splitting, virtualization)
  • Thrives in cross-functional teams with designers, engineers, and product

Benefits

  • $125,000–$160,000 competitive salary
  • Equity in a high-growth AI company
  • Health insurance and 401(k)
  • Fully remote within the United States
  • Direct collaboration with founders and product leadership
