About the role

Role Overview

Senior Frontend Engineer to help build the AI-powered platform at Aragorn AI. You’ll own major parts of the frontend architecture, push forward the design system implementation, and ensure a world-class user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead frontend development using React, TypeScript, and Webpack with an emphasis on performance, maintainability, and scalability
  • Implement and evolve micro frontend architecture for modular, scalable delivery
  • Collaborate closely with Product Design and Product leadership to translate UX designs into high-quality code
  • Work with the design system to ensure components are reusable, accessible, and optimize developer experience
  • Critique and collaborate on UX/UI; identify implementation constraints and optimization opportunities
  • Partner with backend engineers to define, consume, and optimize APIs for efficient data communication
  • Decide when to use third-party libraries vs. custom implementations for speed and long-term maintainability
  • Own CI/CD pipelines for frontend apps (configuration, optimization, deployment)
  • Drive frontend performance best practices (e.g., bundle size reduction, runtime optimization)
  • Contribute to frontend technical standards and architecture consistency
  • Participate in architecture and roadmap discussions to ensure long-term scalability and flexibility

Requirements

  • 5+ years building modern React applications at scale
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript, Webpack, and modern frontend tooling
  • Production experience implementing micro frontends
  • Experience building and scaling component-based design systems with design teams
  • Ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, performant implementations (and challenge designs for feasibility)
  • Strong UX instincts; ability to simplify complex workflows
  • Understanding of REST and GraphQL and how to integrate frontend code cleanly with backend services
  • Experience configuring and deploying applications in CI/CD environments
  • Writes clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Strong frontend performance optimization skills (e.g., bundle splitting, virtualization)
  • Thrives in cross-functional collaboration across design, engineering, and product
