Senior Frontend Engineer - Growth (100% Remote)

Join Close’s Growth team, which owns the customer journey from signup to becoming a paying customer and staying retained. The team ships onboarding, activation, billing, and checkout improvements quickly—often in weeks.

What you’ll work on

• Build an agent-forward onboarding experience where an AI agent teaches “by doing” (guided clicking/highlighting/demos) and you help shape the UI so it feels like training, not just a chat window.
• Turn unstructured sources (e.g., inbox/email) into CRM data, surfacing detected deals and reducing manual data entry.
• Ship and iterate on Growth experiments, focusing on meaningful data capture and funnel impact.
• Implement and improve AI-powered interfaces, including streamed responses, uncertain states, and agent-driven UI patterns.
• Use AI daily in your workflow to move faster and reason about unfamiliar parts of the codebase.
• Standardize and clean up after learnings, balancing fast iteration with improving overall quality.

Responsibilities / operating mode

• Find the fastest path to learning, ship it, then standardize and polish based on results.
• Collaborate and self-direct, working across different problems and potentially moving between teams as work shifts.

Requirements

• Strong frontend engineering experience with React as a core skill.
• Experience applying the right tool (e.g., Vue, Svelte, Solid) when appropriate.
• Experimentation fluency: understanding what data to capture, what a funnel looks like, and how to design features that produce meaningful results.
• B2B experiment structure experience.
• Ability to build AI-powered UI for real users, with thoughtful opinions on trustworthiness and reliability.
• Comfort designing for streamed responses, uncertain states, and agent-driven interfaces.
• AI is part of your workflow; you actively use AI tools to write tighter code and accelerate delivery.
• Builder-first mindset: prefer first iteration in front of customers over prolonged perfection.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amplitude implementation (not only configuration).
• Experience shipping LLM-backed features in production.
