Senior Frontend Engineer

Role overview

Join EvenUp as a Senior Frontend Engineer to build and scale the company’s AI-powered voice platform. You’ll design, develop, and optimize frontend systems, owning complex projects end-to-end and partnering closely with Product, Data, and Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance, reliable frontend systems that support growth initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to interpret requirements for growth and experimentation and deliver seamless user experiences.
• Lead development of reusable frontend frameworks, UI libraries, and components to enable controlled rollouts and measurable commercial impact.
• Maintain high standards for performance, accessibility, reliability, and security in all frontend work.
• Help build engineering culture in Toronto and mentor/shape best practices as the team grows.

Requirements

• Proven experience building scalable, performant, reliable frontend systems in high-performance environments.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript with a track record of clean, maintainable, production-quality code.
• Extensive frontend engineering experience with modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
• Familiarity with web performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Experience with frontend tooling/build systems and cloud deployments (e.g., AWS, Vercel, Netlify).
• Strong grasp of modern engineering practices: test-driven development, code reviews, CI/CD, and analytics/instrumentation for experimentation.
• Ability to thrive in a startup/high-growth environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills across teams.
