About the role

Role overview

Senior Frontend Engineer joining a growing engineering team. Reporting to the CMS Technical Director, you will build scalable, performant, accessible web applications and deliver pixel-perfect UI components.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-performance web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
Implement responsive, pixel-perfect UI components aligned with design system guidelines
Integrate APIs (REST and GraphQL) and optimize CRUD operations for performance and scalability
Work with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful) for content management and personalization
Ensure cross-browser compatibility, web accessibility (WCAG), and SEO best practices
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product teams to create intuitive experiences
Improve performance using Lighthouse audits, caching strategies, and Core Web Vitals
Write clean, well-documented, testable code; follow modern best practices
Conduct code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and mentor junior developers
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment (sprint planning, retrospectives, stand-ups)

Required skills & experience

5+ years front-end development experience focused on JavaScript/TypeScript
3+ years hands-on Next.js and React experience in production
Advanced CSS skills, including CSS Modules, SCSS, PostCSS, and responsive design
Expertise integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL; strong CRUD performance/scalability
Headless CMS experience (Sitecore, Contentful, Optimizely, Sanity, or similar)
Web performance optimization experience (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals, caching, performance monitoring)
Testing/QA proficiency: Jest, Cypress, Playwright
Version control and deployment/automation experience: Git and CI/CD; cloud deployments (Vercel, AWS, Netlify, Cloudflare Pages)
Design systems experience: Storybook, Material UI, Tailwind CSS, or Radix UI
