Role overview

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on Cloudbeds’ Booking Engine Squad, you’ll build and evolve the guest-facing booking experience for direct reservations. The work sits on the revenue-critical path, so performance, reliability, and conversion are central to the team’s impact.

How you’ll make an impact

Design, build, and evolve the guest-facing booking experience using React and TypeScript
Collaborate with product, design, and backend to plan, build, and ship features
Improve performance and conversion through profiling and experimentation/analytics
Work across the full booking journey (e.g., checkout and property customization tools)
Help shape an increasingly AI-ready booking experience and enable new offerings for property sales
Lead discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders (including the frontend architecture group)
Mentor teammates via pair programming and code reviews
Write clean, documented, well-tested code and champion accessibility

What you bring

5+ years of web application development
Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks (React preferred)
Strong command of HTML and CSS
Experience with API-driven design and development
Solid Git fundamentals (workflows/actions)
Strong product sense and customer empathy
Passion for software best practices, design patterns, and testing (unit, integration, end-to-end with test automation)
Excellent debugging and problem-solving
Strong communication, teamwork, ownership, and time management
Passion for Agile practices and continuous improvement
Business-level English fluency
Experience identifying and improving application performance

Bonus skills (nice to have)

Experience with public-facing products and analytics tools (GA4)
Building micro-frontends or web components
Familiarity deploying/running web apps in the cloud (AWS a plus)
Experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code)
Experience on a remote-first, globally distributed team
Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub
