Role Overview

Baseten is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to design, implement, and maintain responsive, accessible, and user-friendly frontend interfaces for its core platform. You’ll partner closely with product designers to turn complex ideas into intuitive UI and lead major frontend initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain responsive, accessible, and user-friendly frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript
Collaborate with product designers to create elegant, intuitive UIs
Optimize performance and reliability of frontend applications
Drive major frontend initiatives and establish frontend best practices
Build reusable component libraries and frontend infrastructure
Mentor other engineers on frontend technologies

Requirements

5+ years of experience building production-grade web applications
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proven track record building well-crafted, performant, scalable UIs
Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling
Experience working in cross-functional product teams in fast-paced environments
Strong product intuition and user experience empathy

Nice-to-haves

Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Next.js, or other modern frontend frameworks
Background in developer tools or data/ML infrastructure products
Experience with WebSockets, real-time data, or custom visualization tooling
Contributions to open-source or public engineering work
