About the role

Role overview

Senior Frontend Engineer (Ads Creative) for Reddit’s Ads Creative & Recommendations team. You will help shape the next generation of Reddit’s advertiser tools by owning complex frontend areas end-to-end—from technical design through launch and iteration.

Responsibilities

Own technical design and delivery of complex frontend features across Ads Manager creative and recommendation workflows.
Translate AI-backed capabilities into intuitive, steerable interfaces for advertisers.
Partner with product and design on ambiguous requirements; make sound product/engineering tradeoffs.
Build reusable frontend patterns and components to enable a unified campaign creation experience.
Instrument experiences, evaluate results, and drive iteration using experiments and product data.
Improve codebase quality via architecture, testing, observability, performance work, and accessibility.
Provide strong code reviews and technical guidance; mentor other engineers.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, backend, data science, and machine learning to deliver end-to-end experiences.

Requirements

5+ years building production web applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
Strong frontend architecture and engineering judgment (state management, component design, testing, API integration).
Experience building polished, accessible, performant, and maintainable UIs.
Ability to work effectively through ambiguous product/technical problems.
Strong communication and collaboration across engineering, product, design, and data teams.
Experience with instrumentation, experimentation, or product metrics to improve user experiences.
Track record of independently delivering complex frontend projects from design through launch.
Comfortable using agentic coding tools (e.g., Codex, Cursor, Claude).

Nice to have

Experience with advertising, campaign management, creative tooling, or other complex business applications.
Experience designing interfaces for generative AI, machine learning, or recommendation systems.
Familiarity with asset management, media upload, image editing, creative versioning, or content generation workflows.
Experience building or contributing to shared component libraries.
