Senior Frontend Developer

Role Overview

Senior Frontend UI Developer / Accessibility Expert supporting enterprise digital modernization. You will build accessible, standards-compliant user interfaces and collaborate with UX architects across multiple high-impact projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop accessible front-end UI features using web standards
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA using strong accessibility practices
• Implement and validate accessibility behaviors such as ARIA, color contrast, keyboard navigation, and focus management
• Test accessibility using tools such as axe DevTools and WAVE
• Work closely with UX architects and stakeholders to deliver high-quality user experiences

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with HTML5, CSS, and SASS
• Strong expertise in WCAG 2.2 Level AA
• Hands-on accessibility experience including:
  • ARIA
  • Color contrast
  • Keyboard navigation and focus management
  • Screen reader testing: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver
• Accessibility testing tools experience: axe DevTools, WAVE
• Strong experience with Angular and ASP.NET MVC / .NET MVC
• Deep understanding of responsive UI development and accessibility best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with design systems or wrapper components
• Familiarity with U.S. Web Design System (USWDS)
• Understanding of UX principles and design workflows

• Location/Work arrangement: Remote (occasional onsite if required), with tie to Des Moines, IA
• Duration: 11+ months
