Role Overview

Contract-based Senior Frontend Developer for the garden3d creative collective. You’ll build pixel-perfect, performant web experiences across a variety of client projects, with an emphasis on U.S. West Coast / Pacific Time candidates.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Technical Lead to meet client development needs
Build and maintain high-performance web applications using modern frontend frameworks
Implement responsive, accessible, pixel-perfect UIs based on design specs
Integrate frontend apps with headless CMS, APIs, and third-party services
Optimize performance (bundle size, load times, runtime efficiency)
Architect scalable component libraries and design systems
Write clear documentation for code maintenance and usage
Participate in meetings (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) and code reviews

Requirements (Must Have)

8+ years writing highly performant frontend code; obsession with 95+ Lighthouse scores
Expert TypeScript experience and experience with one of: Next.js, Nuxt, Svelte, Vue
Extensive experience with headless CMS (e.g., Sanity, Contentful, Prismic)
Fluency with frontend hosting/PaaS (e.g., Vercel, Netlify, Firebase)
Fluency with eCommerce technologies (e.g., Shopify headless + Liquid, Stripe, Swell)
Ability to build accessible, responsive interfaces

Nice to Have

Interests/background in design/arts/music/food/fashion (or related hobbies/side projects)
Ability to manage workflow with deep work and strategic check-ins

Location / Time Zone

Focus on U.S. West Coast; Pacific Time preferred (LA/SF proximity is a plus)
Also open to Mountain Time candidates
