Senior Frontend Developer

Role Overview

Senior Frontend Developer joining Interactive Brokers’ UI Brokerage Web Application Engineering team. The team builds web application UIs that ship inside IBKR’s native trading platforms, leveraging a micro-frontend architecture.

This is a hybrid role (3 days in office / 2 days remote).

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable web applications in the Vue ecosystem (Vue, Vuex, Pinia, Vite, Cypress, webpack).
• Own and develop high-traffic applications, with strong focus on speed and user experience.
• Collaborate with engineers to ideate, plan, and organize large-scale projects.
• Contribute to and maintain the company-wide Vue UI Component Library.
• Set direction with other frontend engineers and help implement new technologies.
• Work with a fast-moving team focused on continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or related).
• 5+ years of commercial software development, with emphasis on single-page web app development.
• Hands-on experience with at least one JS framework (React / Vue / Angular; Vue is preferred).
• AI/Agentic development fluency: must be comfortable with Claude Code (or similar agentic dev tools); applied AI experience is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS/LESS.
• Maintain high code quality standards and deliver functional specification documentation.
• Experience integrating 1st and 3rd party APIs.
• Experience working with webpack and Vite.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, technically oriented attitude.

Nice to Haves

• Applied AI experience in production (agents, MCP, or AI features).
• Experience across micro-frontend setups and embedded UI in native clients.
