Senior Frontend Developer

Role Overview

Senior Frontend Developer (Full-Time) at Appfigures. You’ll build data-rich, user-focused web interfaces and help shape architecture, testing, and development practices in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Build intuitive, data-rich user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Architect modular, reusable components that scale across platforms (web, server, native) with strong accessibility.
• Own implementation planning: translate high-level specs into efficient systems.
• Write reliable unit and integration tests using Mocha and Chai.
• Collaborate with a small, autonomous team focused on quality and craft.
• Improve testing and dev processes for better speed and stability.
• Work on both new features and refactoring of legacy systems (including some Angular).

Requirements

• 7+ years building modern web applications with JavaScript and React.
• Strong critical thinking and the ability to plan before building; care about both design and implementation.
• Solid foundation in CS principles (or equivalent experience).
• Thoughtful, methodical approach to debugging, architecture, and clean code.
• Experience working on side projects out of genuine interest.
• Clear, collaborative communication and comfort in a low-process, high-trust team.
• Strong end-user focus, especially for mobile apps and games.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with accessibility and cross-platform component design.
• Familiarity with Angular due to ongoing evolution of legacy code.
