Senior Front End Software Engineer

Role overview

Join Imprint as a Senior Front End Software Engineer to design and implement user-facing experiences for its lending products. You’ll work closely with designers and backend engineers to deliver production-ready features that impact conversion rates and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement front-end systems that guide customers through credit applications, account management, and service flows
• Collaborate with designers to convert mockups/prototypes into production-ready code
• Partner with backend engineers to integrate APIs and handle asynchronous data
• Write front-end tests and help improve front-end architecture and engineering standards
• Contribute to front-end component libraries and engineering infrastructure
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents

Requirements

• Strong execution and shipping mindset in a regulated environment
• Ability to ship production code, debug, and respond to operational incidents
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments and making pragmatic tradeoffs
• Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and responsive design
• Experience with state management, component architecture, and front-end testing
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular)
• Familiarity with API integration, async data handling, and error management
• 5–7 years of software engineering experience building front-end applications

Nice-to-haves

• Fintech/financial services experience focused on end-user experiences
• Contributions to design systems / component libraries / front-end infrastructure
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design
• Experience with performance optimization, bundle analysis, or front-end observability
• Track record of improving conversion, usability, or customer experience
