About the role

Role Overview

Veeva is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineering Manager to lead a high-caliber front-end team at the early (greenfield) stage of a new Enterprise Application Platform. You will shape front-end architecture and team culture, own delivery with strong execution, and stay hands-on when needed to keep the mission on track.

Responsibilities

Lead & Mentor: Recruit, grow, and mentor a strong engineering team through clear direction and feedback.
Plan & Execute: Own team delivery and coordinate closely with backend engineering for predictable, low-drama releases.
Product Partnership: Collaborate with Product to translate complex requirements into elegant, practical user experiences.
Architectural Contribution: Partner with Principal Engineers to define a cohesive front-end direction, including shared frameworks and libraries.
Champion Quality: Ensure high testing and reliability standards to prevent regressions and maintain robust features.
Technical Contribution: Stay active in the codebase—unblock engineers and prototype new ideas as needed.

Requirements

8+ years engineering, including 3+ years management, leading teams of 5+.
Experience architecting and delivering complex, scalable, enterprise-grade multi-tenant SaaS features.
Track record of designing/building/maintaining frameworks or libraries for other engineers.
Experience with complex UI such as form rendering, data grids, and workflow-driven interfaces that adapt to customer-defined schemas/metadata.
Demonstrated long-term product commitment from early design through maturity.
Ability to drive technical strategy and translate business goals into engineering outcomes.
Proven success in fast-paced greenfield environments—partnering on both product and culture.
Deep front-end expertise: JavaScript, CSS, TypeScript, React, and core browser APIs.
Must be located in PST or MST (remote within those time zones).
