Senior Front-End Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Role Overview

Senior Front-End Engineer to build modern, scalable web applications using React and TypeScript, with strong component-driven architecture and GraphQL integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain React applications in TypeScript with a focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainability
• Build and maintain efficient GraphQL operations
• Create reusable, well-tested UI components and maintain a consistent design system
• Deploy releases and hotfixes to production environments
• Debug issues across production and development environments
• Write unit/integration tests for features and bug fixes
• Collaborate with back-end engineers and product stakeholders to deliver robust, maintainable systems
• Apply front-end best practices for performance, accessibility, security, and code quality
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to engineering standards, and support continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React
• Experience with GraphQL clients (e.g., Apollo Client) and consuming API schemas
• Solid understanding of component architecture, state management patterns, and modern React paradigms
• Familiarity with AWS-hosted front-end infrastructure (e.g., S3, CloudFront, API Gateway)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows
• Ability to perform root cause analysis on application issues
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum with cross-functional teams

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with AWS CDK or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for front-end infrastructure
• Performance optimization techniques (e.g., code splitting, lazy loading, caching)
• Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA / Section 508)
• FedRAMP or other certification knowledge
