Role overview

Senior Frontend Engineer at Lovevery, owning the end-to-end shopping experience for the company’s non-subscription products. You’ll build and steward the e-commerce platform and the digital parent education experience, scaling for a global audience.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and optimize web applications and APIs powering global e-commerce and parent experiences
  • Own key customer journey surfaces: product detail pages, cart, checkout, fulfillment flows, and a content CMS
  • Create scalable CMS models/configuration systems aligned with the product roadmap and global expansion
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Mobile teams to ship features across the customer journey
  • Maintain frontend security, reliability, and performance for experiences used by millions
  • Evaluate vendors/platforms and decide between internal builds vs third-party integrations
  • Improve engineering excellence: technical standards, development workflows, and best practices
  • Use AI coding tools/workflows to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and engineering judgment
  • Iterate on CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (Vercel) for high-velocity delivery
  • Mentor and promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement culture

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience shipping modern web applications (Next.js, React, TypeScript, etc.)
  • Strong API design skills, including client vs server responsibilities
  • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD (Jest, Playwright, Vitest, etc.)
  • Professional experience with CMS tools and strategy (e.g., Contentful, Sanity)
  • Professional experience with A/B testing and analytics (e.g., Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, Rudderstack, Amplitude)
  • Experience with a server-side language such as Ruby on Rails or Python (or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with Next.js rendering modes (static, dynamic, caching)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration

Nice to have

  • Excitement for using AI as a daily workflow multiplier, including AI-orchestrated workflows
