Senior Front-End Developer (Vue.js & Python) - Remote

Role Overview

Senior Front-End Developer (Vue.js & Python) for a Technology Company project. This is a long-term contract role focused primarily on front-end development, with collaboration using Python and expected familiarity with AWS.

Location & Schedule

• Remote (USA & Puerto Rico)
• Candidates must be based in Puerto Rico
• Quarterly travel: 1 week to Hartford, CT
• Language: Professional English required

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern Vue.js web applications.
• Build reusable, responsive, scalable front-end components.
• Support Vue 2 → Vue 3 migrations.
• Integrate front-end with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with backend developers using Python to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and establish development best practices.
• Provide technical guidance/support to junior developers when needed.
• Work with Product Owners, QA, and cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years building web applications with Vue.js.
• Strong hands-on experience with Vue 2 and Vue 3.
• Experience migrating from Vue 2 to Vue 3.
• Strong JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 knowledge and modern front-end practices.
• Professional experience with Python.
• Experience integrating/consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Some mentoring/coaching or technical guidance experience.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional English proficiency (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

• Performance/scalability optimization experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Git-based workflows.
• Experience with front-end testing frameworks and automation.
• Experience with distributed/cross-functional teams.
• Enterprise-level application experience.
