Role Overview

Senior Front-End Developer (Web & Mobile)

• Join Meld as a UX-minded Front-End Engineer to lead development of cross-platform user experiences across web and mobile.
• Primarily build in React Native to deliver apps for iOS, Android, and the web.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cross-platform apps using React Native and related web technologies (e.g., React, Next.js)
• Own feature development end-to-end: design → development → deployment across iOS, Android, and web
• Leverage native iOS code (e.g., Swift) when needed for performance or system integration
• Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to ship features
• Optimize performance, responsiveness, and accessibility across platforms
• Help define and enforce front-end architecture, tooling, and code standards
• Contribute to app store deployments and release management

Requirements

• 5+ years of front-end development experience, with significant time in React and React Native
• Proven track record building and maintaining front-end applications used by millions of users
• Production experience shipping mobile apps for iOS and/or Android
• Comfort working with native iOS (Swift or Objective-C) and React Native bridge integrations
• Strong fundamentals in component design and state management, plus mobile performance
• Familiarity with app store processes (e.g., TestFlight, Apple App Store, Google Play)
• Strong product sense and appreciation for design and usability
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience operating in cross-functional teams and leading technical direction for front-end quality and standards

Remote / Location Notes

• Remote position.
• Primarily hiring candidates based on the East Coast (US) or within Central European Time (CET ±2 hours) to ensure team overlap.
