Senior Front-End Developer

Role Overview

Maximus is hiring a Senior Front-End Developer for a remote position supporting front-end design and development efforts for government stakeholders (contingent upon contract award and authorization to proceed). The role requires an Active Secret clearance or higher (with Active TS/SCI highly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide subject-matter expertise for assigned task areas.
• Support process improvement and requirements definition through analysis, planning, and development of requirements documents.
• Develop technical documentation including technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and functional architecture for stakeholder review (JCC2 PMO).
• Perform engineering tasks for front-end design and development, including:
  • Implementing and modifying GUI components
  • Constructing and optimizing UI elements
  • Improving system navigation practices and UI patterns
  • Facilitating operator usability for user-facing features
• Lead engineering activities for front-end efforts, including analysis and planning, and other related management/technical duties.
• Prepare, conduct, and document systems tests to verify operability and compliance with project standards and requirements.
• Create wireframes/mockups based on multiple user personas.

Minimum Requirements

• Active Secret clearance or higher; Active TS/SCI highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (a Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience).
• 10 years of experience in the functional area and 10 years software development experience using object-oriented and scripted languages.
• 5 years recent and relevant front-end web design/development experience.
• 5 years experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• 5 years experience testing web-based applications.
• 5 years experience leading software development programs/projects.
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
• 5 years experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 5 years experience with at least five of: Apache Ember, React, Angular, JavaScript, Node.js (plus additional listed technologies).
• Demonstrated experience in Agile, user-centric application design and applying best-of-breed UI/UX standards.
• Demonstrated experience generating system wireframes/mockups for multiple user personas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Agile Test-Driven Development.
• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
• Experience with UX design tool suites such as Sketch and InVision.
• 5 years of experience with CI/CD software development.
