About the role

Role

Senior Front-End Developer (remote) for JCC2 PMO work supporting GUI/user-facing feature development. This position is contingent upon contract award and position availability.

Responsibilities

Provide subject-matter expertise for task deliverables, including process improvement, specialized studies, and requirements definition.
Perform front-end engineering work, including:
- Create technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and supporting documentation for stakeholder review.
- Plan and implement GUI modifications and improvements.
- Construct and optimize UI elements and navigation patterns to enhance operator ease of use.
Facilitate operator/user-facing feature development.
Support testing and compliance by preparing, conducting, and documenting system tests and results to verify operability and adherence to project standards.
Develop functional models, procedures, and functional architecture; assist with related management and technical duties.

Requirements

Security clearance: Active Secret clearance (or above) required; Active TS/SCI preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required (Master’s can substitute for 2 years of experience).
Experience:
- 10 years in the functional area.
- 10 years software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages; ability to apply tool suites related to DevSecOps, microservices, and containers.
- 5 years recent/relevant front-end web design and development.
- 5 years with bug tracking (e.g., Jira).
- 5 years testing web-based applications.
- 5 years leading software development programs/projects.
- Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
- 5 years with Jenkins and GitLab.
- 5 years of experience with at least five of: Apache Ember, JavaScript, Jaguar, Java, Cricket, Node.
Demonstrated experience engaging in Agile and user-centric application design with best-of-breed UI/UX.
Demonstrated experience generating wireframes/mockups considering multiple user personas.

Preferred Qualifications

Agile Test-Driven Development experience.
Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
UX tool experience (e.g., Sketch, InVision).
5 years CI/CD software development experience.
