Senior Front End Developer

Role Overview

Maximus is seeking a Senior Front End Developer to provide front-end engineering support, including UI design and development, technical documentation, and requirements/process support. The role is remote/hybrid and requires Top Secret with SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-end engineering tasks, including technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and related documentation for PMO and stakeholder review.
• Plan and implement modifications to Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs).
• Construct and optimize UI elements and improve system navigation and user-facing feature usability.
• Support process improvement through analysis, planning, requirements documentation, and functional model/architecture development.
• Prepare, conduct, and document systems tests to verify operability and compliance.
• Engage in Agile, user-centric application design.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years overall experience in the functional area; Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s may substitute for 2 years of experience).
• 10+ years software development experience using object-oriented and scripted languages, with familiarity applying tool suites for DevSecOps, microservices, and containers.
• 5+ years recent and relevant experience in front-end web design and development.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience leading software development programs/projects (5+ years).
• 5+ years bug tracking using Jira.
• 5+ years testing web-based applications.
• Demonstrated experience with wireframes/mockups for multiple user personas.
• Demonstrated experience using UX design tools (e.g., Sketch, InVision).
• Practical experience designing/developing/testing/sustaining software in an Agile environment.
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAFe SA
• Experience with Agile Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments
