About the role

Role Overview

Product-minded Senior Front-End Developer to own and support the user-facing experience and collaborate on front-end architecture.

Responsibilities

Build modern, responsive, high-performance front-end experiences
Create reusable, scalable UI components
Collaborate on API design and integration with backend systems; define clear contracts and boundaries
Improve UX with interaction design, performance optimization, and thoughtful state handling
Contribute to product discussions beyond implementation

Key Requirements

Strong experience with React, Vue, or Angular
TypeScript proficiency (hard requirement)
Build SPAs consuming REST APIs from a separate backend
Modern build tooling: Vite preferred (Webpack/Rollup acceptable)
Comfortable making decisions on framework/tooling and state/routing/data-fetching patterns
Experience migrating or rebuilding a front end from one stack to another
Ability to work from unfinished specs where requirements are still forming

Front-End Features You’ll Build

Complex forms: multi-step wizard/stepper, dynamic schema/config forms, client + server validation
File upload UX: progress, retry, validation, multi-file
PDF preview/in-browser rendering
Complex data tables: filtering, sorting, pagination, bulk actions

API, Auth & Permissions

Strong SPA auth token flow experience: refresh and error handling
Familiarity with TanStack Query or SWR (or similar)
Client-side OAuth/SSO experience (Azure Entra ID context)
Design UI for loading/error/empty/unauthorized states
Role/permission-driven UI patterns (hide/disable/redirect)
Understands UI gating is UX, not security

Tooling, Quality & Workflow

Git proficiency (branching, PRs, code review)
Browser DevTools mastery (network/performance/a11y audits)
Basic frontend testing discipline
Good documentation habits
Regular use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., ChatGPT/Copilot/Cursor) and ability to validate AI-generated code

Nice-to-Haves

Insurance, fintech, or other regulated industry experience (or genuine interest)
Comfortable working in a small team and pushing back with reasoning
Self-directed, ownership-focused, able to handle shifting requirements
