Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Agent)

Role Overview

Join Cresta as a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Agent) to deploy intelligent AI agents that address real-world challenges. You will partner with customers and internal software/ML teams to deliver successful agent implementations and continuously improve Cresta’s AI platform.

Key Missions

• Develop, configure, and deploy AI agents using Cresta’s platform and AI tooling.
• Work with customers and internal stakeholders to gather technical requirements and translate business needs into AI agent solutions.
• Plan and coordinate delivery: define milestones, create implementation plans, and work with internal teams to ensure on-time execution.
• Build agents, integrate with external systems, and provide hands-on technical support during deployments.

Requirements

• Strong engineering skills with adaptability and customer engagement.
• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Cloud & DevOps experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; CI/CD, containerization, and monitoring.
• AI/ML knowledge including LLMs and prompt engineering (strongly preferred).
• Programming: proficient in Python and Golang, able to write clean, efficient code.
• AI agent frameworks knowledge: function calling and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) (hands-on preferred).
• Integration expertise via APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines.
• Analytical mindset using data-driven iteration such as A/B testing and performance monitoring.

Experience

• 3+ years in software development, AI/ML engineering, or system integration.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience building agent systems with RAG and function calling.
• Demonstrated ability to turn real customer problems into scalable AI solutions in cross-functional teams.
