About the role
Role Overview
Join SentinelOne as a Senior Forward Deploy Engineer (Fullstack: Java/React), working at the intersection of customers and the product. You will design and deliver integrations, collaborate with customers to understand environments and goals, and drive high standards for code quality, security, and efficiency.
Key Missions
- Collaborate with customers and field teams to understand environments and ambiguous requirements.
- Translate unclear needs into technical strategies and integration plans.
- Design and deliver integrations/customizations connecting SentinelOne products into customer environments.
- Produce runbooks, integration documentation, and executive-level technical communication.
- Lead substantial end-to-end work under ambiguity with multiple stakeholders.
- Champion code quality, security, and performance throughout delivery.
Responsibilities
- Fullstack development (primarily React + Java) to build and support integrations.
- Create and maintain integration artifacts (docs, runbooks) and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Make engineering trade-offs with strong fundamentals (including CAP theorem considerations).
- Mentor and help other engineers grow through hands-on leadership.
Requirements
- 4+ years engineering experience with both backend and frontend exposure.
- Strong computer science foundation.
- Modern Java proficiency (Java strongly preferred; 3+ years), with comfort using functional patterns (e.g., lambdas) and favoring composition over inheritance.
- Proven expertise designing/operating distributed systems or data-intensive services.
- Experience working directly with customers and/or senior stakeholders to shape technical solutions.
- Ability to lead substantial end-to-end work under ambiguity with multiple stakeholders.
- Track record of writing clear technical documentation and communicating precisely.
Nice to Have
- Cybersecurity domain experience (e.g., SIEM, EDR/XDR, log pipelines, detection engineering, threat hunting).
- Experience with additional technologies likely used in the role: TypeScript, Kafka, Redis, GraphQL, Node.js and SentinelOne’s platform.
Location / Work Style
- Full remote (listed with New York, US).
