Senior Flutter Developer

Role Overview

Senior Flutter Developer (12+ month contract) Hybrid in Charlotte, NC (W2 with Lighthouse Technology Services). No C2C or subcontracting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile apps for Android and iOS using Flutter and Dart
• Build scalable, responsive, reusable UI components that deliver strong user experiences
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Integrate RESTful APIs, Firebase services, and third-party solutions
• Implement robust state management using Provider, Riverpod, Bloc, or GetX
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize performance and reliability
• Perform unit, widget, and integration testing to ensure code quality
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for coding and documentation
• Publish and manage releases on Google Play Store and Apple App Store
• Stay current with Flutter updates and emerging mobile technologies

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience building mobile apps with Flutter and Dart
• Proven ability to build scalable, responsive apps for Android and iOS
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP integration
• Hands-on experience with Firebase: Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics
• Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX and responsive component implementation
• Experience with state management and local data technologies such as SQLite or Hive
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum iterative development environments

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with publishing/maintaining mobile app releases and update management
• Comfort with Flutter framework updates and monitoring emerging mobile development trends
