Senior Financial Analyst (W2 Contract)
- Location: New York, NY (open to remote, ideally local; in office 3 days/week)
- Hours: 32 hrs/week (4 full days)
- Duration: 8/24/2026 – 12/17/2026
- Pay: $48.00/hour
Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Own planning, analysis, and reporting of Operating Expenses across distribution NA channels.
- Cost & Margin Analysis: Support Finance Director with plan/estimate and analysis of cost of goods; provide recommendations to improve gross margin.
- Strategic P&L Analysis: Analyze and report brand P&L lines, with focus on Advertising & Promotions (A&P) investment; monitor other OPEX lines and explain variances.
- Performance Monitoring: Support North America regional projects and ad hoc analyses.
- Monthly Close Support: Prepare the monthly marketing deck reconciliation; support the monthly close and estimate process.
- Marketing Partnership: Serve as main point of contact for Marketing teams (budget coding/confirmation, actual spend details, concerns/questions).
- Own A&P Line: Own the full A&P line, run monthly meetings with Marketing to review spend and build balance-of-year estimates.
- Accounting Close Activities: Partner with NA controller team for month-end closing, journal entries, and account summaries as needed.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA a plus).
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience; F (fast-moving consumer goods/FMCG) industry experience.
- Core skills: Strong technical finance/accounting skills including reconciliations, working with data, and month close.
- Excel: Strong Excel skills; budgeting and reporting largely in Excel.
- Systems: Experience with SAP and Hyperion.
- Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills (high-quality slide decks, clear written/verbal communication).
- Execution: Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
