Senior Financial Analyst

Role Overview

Senior Financial Analyst (first dedicated FP&A hire) reporting to the CFO at HeroDevs. You’ll help build the company’s Finance function and provide actionable insights, accountability, and business partnership with high visibility to executives and the board.

Responsibilities

• Own the full budget cycle: annual planning, forecasting, and monthly budget vs. actual reporting
• Build and maintain financial models to drive accountability and strategic insight
• Partner with department leaders on budgets, headcount plans, and spend projections
• Prepare board and investor materials, including monthly reporting packages, financial summaries, KPI decks, and ad hoc analyses
• Support month-end close by aligning planning assumptions with actuals and assisting with routine calculations to surface insights
• Create repeatable processes and templates that scale as the company grows and complexity increases

Requirements

• 4+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial planning (B2B SaaS preferred)
• Strong financial modeling skills, including driver-based models tied to key financial and operational metrics
• Solid understanding of SaaS metrics and how they flow through financial statements: ARR, retention, CAC, LTV
• Ability to balance strategic analysis with operational finance work (e.g., GL cleanup, account mapping, close support)
• Basic understanding of AI tools and desire to leverage AI and automation in daily work
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets; FP&A planning platforms experience is a plus
