About the role
Role Overview
Senior Financial Analyst (first dedicated FP&A hire) reporting to the CFO at HeroDevs. You’ll help build the company’s Finance function and provide actionable insights, accountability, and business partnership with high visibility to executives and the board.
Responsibilities
- Own the full budget cycle: annual planning, forecasting, and monthly budget vs. actual reporting
- Build and maintain financial models to drive accountability and strategic insight
- Partner with department leaders on budgets, headcount plans, and spend projections
- Prepare board and investor materials, including monthly reporting packages, financial summaries, KPI decks, and ad hoc analyses
- Support month-end close by aligning planning assumptions with actuals and assisting with routine calculations to surface insights
- Create repeatable processes and templates that scale as the company grows and complexity increases
Requirements
- 4+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial planning (B2B SaaS preferred)
- Strong financial modeling skills, including driver-based models tied to key financial and operational metrics
- Solid understanding of SaaS metrics and how they flow through financial statements: ARR, retention, CAC, LTV
- Ability to balance strategic analysis with operational finance work (e.g., GL cleanup, account mapping, close support)
- Basic understanding of AI tools and desire to leverage AI and automation in daily work
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets; FP&A planning platforms experience is a plus
