About the role
Role overview
Lead a team of diagnostics engineers providing analytics and customer guidance for operators of GE and CFM-powered commercial aircraft engines. The team has a high level of direct customer communication and works on predictive maintenance capabilities for narrowbody fleets.
Responsibilities
- Lead a people team (9–12) of senior and lead professionals across on-site, remote, and secondary GE facility locations
- Hire and develop individual contributors; act as a liaison for the Edison Program (early engineering development)
- Maintain a high-performing environment by balancing business needs and advocating for team needs
- Provide input to 3–5 year strategic plans for predictive aircraft maintenance
- Lead customer-facing communication and serve as a “voice of the customer” to the business
- Manage medium-scale projects with accountability and tie outcomes to long-term vision
- Drive adoption of FLIGHT DECK (Lean) principles via Monthly Operating Reviews, KPI ownership, and problem-solving mechanisms
- Collaborate across Fleet Support with digital product owners and digital technology teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Interpret business and product/engineering/manufacturing challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, and services
- Use judgment and multiple internal/external inputs to address complex, cross-domain problems; communicate and influence stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent: high school diploma/GED plus additional technical leadership experience)
- 5+ years of technical leadership experience
