Senior Engineering Manager (Platform)

Role overview

Lead the Platform Engineering organization for a consumer-facing iGaming platform. You will own the platform roadmap and technical direction spanning cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, runtime platforms, and shared services used by all product teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution across squads spanning AppSec, SRE, and QA: plan roadmaps into milestones, manage delivery risks/dependencies, and keep teams unblocked while maintaining quality and security guardrails.
• Own production platform outcomes at scale, supporting high-traffic, consumer-facing workloads.
• Lead the Platform Engineering team and define the technical direction and platform roadmap to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and developer productivity.
• Serve as the senior technical authority for platform architecture and pragmatic trade-offs between speed, cost, resilience, and risk.
• Mentor engineers building the foundation of the product.
• Design and evolve the platform architecture supporting web, mobile, backend, payments, and real-time gaming workloads.
• Lead initiatives to improve scalability, availability, and fault tolerance, including multi-AZ/region strategies, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Own platform-level SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, and reliability metrics, partnering with SRE and engineering leadership.
• Apply AI platforms to accelerate development, testing, code reviews, and security scans.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in platform, infrastructure, or systems engineering.
• 3+ years leading senior engineers or platform teams.
• Proven track record owning production platforms at scale for high traffic, consumer-facing products.
• Demonstrated success scaling through rapid growth (users, traffic, transactions, teams).

• FinTech, gaming/casino, and/or regulatory experience.
