Senior Engineering Manager

Role Overview

Join GoGuardian as a Senior Engineering Manager to lead multiple engineering teams delivering high-quality, scalable software. You’ll set goals and measurable success metrics, inspect execution progress, and drive prioritization and trade-offs with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams to deliver production-grade, scalable software aligned with company priorities.
• Set clear goals and define success metrics (KPIs); continuously monitor progress and ensure accountability.
• Partner with Product, PMO, and other stakeholders to drive prioritization, manage trade-offs, and deliver initiatives on time.
• Own engineering excellence, including participation in architectural decisions.
• Coach and develop engineering managers and senior engineers; build high-performing, inclusive teams.
• Drive a culture of ownership, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
• Establish scalable engineering practices such as design reviews, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and infrastructure as code.

Requirements

• Proven ability to drive sound architectural decisions and establish scalable engineering practices balancing speed, quality, and maintainability.
• 5+ years managing one or more teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong academic background (BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience) and experience leading teams delivering SaaS applications.
• Influential, effective communicator across engineering, product, and leadership; strong coaching/feedback and accountability leadership.
• Deep experience with AWS and/or GCP and modern distributed systems, including microservices, monoliths, and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to translate business goals into execution using metrics and KPIs.
• Technically credible leader with hands-on experience in Go and full-stack systems; able to go deep when needed.
